The Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be rocking this weekend. All inductees are expected to attend, although that list has not officially been announced. If those rumors are true, it is surprising that Radiohead members at least a few of them will be there in person. Some of them had indicated several times over the past few years they were not interested in the event. It would be even more of a stunner if the group actually performs.
The result: a tighter, better-sounding version of the bone-wearying actual ceremony held in March in Brooklyn, New York, at the Barclays Center. The program premieres at 8 p. Saturday, April 27, on the cable network, and will re-air throughout the month. But to understand how we got there, take yourself to Brooklyn and pretend that you are the person in charge of that as-it-happens event. This is a live show that honors seven acts, with the accompanying egos that exist despite what the press releases and online bios say. Who goes on first?
The first woman to be inducted into the Rock Hall two separate times, Nicks kicked off the night as the show's first performer and inductee with a display of showmanship that few of the night's other featured artists managed to top. Styles returned to the stage to induct Nicks into the Rock Hall, with a speech honoring Nicks' status as a musical and cultural icon. To quote my mother, 'I Stevie Nicks'd that expletive so hard. Nicks admitted that she was too nervous to prepare a speech, instead treating the audience to six minutes of vintage stories and quirky advice, as she recalled her years roughing it with her embattled former bandmate Lindsay Buckingham. Addressing her fellow female artists, Nicks encouraged them to seek the same career heights that she has achieved, including her record-breaking double-induction. For the first time since , the majority of Roxy Music gathered on stage to perform together and celebrate the band's legacy.
Vulture was lucky enough to be reporting from all over the Barclays Center when the ceremony occurred last month, and with HBO airing it for everyone else to enjoy on Saturday, April 27, we figured it would be worth revisiting all of the highs, lows, and whoas of this induction class. Come for the snub gossip, and stay for the performances, what little of them we have left!

Trent Reznor was nearly done inducting the Cure into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when he went off on a slight tangent to talk about the institution itself. The Zombies had to wait 29 years and go through four ballots, while Roxy Music , Janet Jackson and Def Leppard have all been waiting for at least a decade despite their obvious qualifications. It was therefore not surprising that the overriding sentiment throughout the evening was extreme gratitude and glowing euphoria. The performance set the bar high for the evening, as did Styles when he delivered a heartfelt induction speech about what Nicks has meant to him over the years. Her songs make you ache, feel on top of the world, make you want to dance, and usually all three at the same time.
